SheSpeaks recently asked me to review the new Arbor Mist Frozen Wine Cocktails and really folks, who could say "no" to that offer? I'm crazy about wine (even had a wine tasting for my birthday) and I normally always keep a bottle of Arbor Mist in the fridge so when I heard that they were releasing frozen versions of their yummy wine I was simply delighted! Just imagine how perfect these are for a nice fall evening watching the sun set with a refreshing, flavorful frozen wine cocktail. Perfection, right?
Available Flavors::
Blackberry Merlot::
- Flavored with Blackberries and Guava
- 6% Alcohol
I made the mistake of letting this flavor sit out too long so it thawed out and while it was still chilled the wine non-frozen was thick and very sweet. Overall the Blackberry Merlot has a pretty good flavor I just would not recommend making the same mistake I made by drinking it in an unfrozen state.
- 6% Alcohol
This was by far my favorite of the three flavors. I wanted to drink at least three more after the first one. The flavor has just the right amount of strawberry infused along with the unmistakable taste of white zinfandel. If I had to choose this would be my first choice every time. It kind of reminds me of a warm summer day.
White Pear Pinot Grigio::
- Infused with pear and hints of apple and citrus
- 6% Alcohol
When it comes to wine I'm not a Pinot Grigio fan in general, so when this flavor ended up being my least favorite of them all I really wasn't surprised. Additionally I'm not a big pear fan so this one just didn't delight my taste buds like the others. If you're into pear and citrus flavors or Pinot Grigio then you'll more than likely really like this one.
The Strawberry Zinfandel will certainly be on reserve in my freezer and I hoping there will be more flavors added to the collection. Be sure to pick some of these up the next time your out and remember to drink responsibly!
