Product Review:: Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

I've been sharing with you all my natural hair journey and May 19th will mark one month since I've been rocking my natural hair freely and while I love my tight coils I find that I have to struggle to keep them moisturized.

Many gals are ditching the creamy crack and deciding to go natural and I'll been hearing buzz about Coconut Oil and the benefits of using it so when I got the Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil in the mail I was elated and couldn't wait to see what all the buzz was about.

The Details::
The Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is made with unrefined coconut oil and is one of the most nutritionally rich coconut oils containing high levels of antioxidants. These qualities are what separate Tropical Traditions from other brands. You're getting the highest quality product when you purchase this Virgin Coconut Oil. Coconut Oil has the ability to bind to the protein structure of the hair, thus making the hair stronger.

My Resutls::
I decided to use the Coconut Oil as a pre-poo (using before shampooing and conditioning) applying the product to my hair and letting it sit for about 25minutes. Upon rinsing the oil out I immediately noticed how much softer my hair was, nothing has ever made my hair feel quite that soft. I proceeded to co-wash my hair and style and through all the twisting and added products my hair remained amazingly soft and had a glorious sheen.

If you are chemically treating your hair OR rocking natural hair you will certainly want to get a jar of this coconut oil. Words can't even describe how great my hair felt and it wasn't just a temporary feeling, my hair is changed by the great properties of this Coconut Oil.

Ro Recommendation:: Get you Some!! :-)
The Good:: Everything...really ya'll, I'm loving this!
The Bad:: None
Price:: $19.95-$75 *depends on size purchased*
Ro's Rating:: A+

Seriously beauties, find a way to incorporate this into your beauty routine.
