If you recall, in January I listed 12 goals that I wanted to reach by years end and I'm thrilled to share with you today that Goal #6 on my list has been accomplished.
I've always loved writing for as long as I could remember and I never imagined that my love for all things beauty related would eventually lead to people valuing what I have to say when it comes to beauty. When I set the goal to contribute to a national/large publication I admit it was a stretch (there are tons of talented beauty bloggers/writers) and I thought it would take all year BUT by January 9 I had signed an agreement with Kontrol Magazine to become a beauty contributor. No doubt I was thrilled but nothing was better than getting my tear sheets last Friday and seeing my words in a beautiful layout...knowing that the magazine was on new stands and hundreds,maybe thousands of readers would be reading my words and seeing my name right there in print!

To my fellow bloggers::
Set Goals...NEVER give up and don't be afraid to ask for what you want. Keep working hard even when your stats are low and you didn't hear back from that brand or PR you contacted. We all are talented and when opportunities come (even though it may take what seems forever) that opportunity will be perfect for you. Pull out your goals and press re-set and make it happen. I'm rooting for you!
