Product Review:: Curls Unleashed Take Command Curl Defining Créme

I Big Chopped in October and while I have embraced my decision to be “Natural” I haven’t been able to find products that help me tackle my type 4 curls and as a result I haven’t been wearing my lil fro out in public. This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Textures on the Runway event and I was lucky enough to be gifted with an awesome press bag with some AMAZING products one of which was Curls Unleashed Take Command Curl Defining Créme. Let me just say that with just one use of this product I have found a new love for my tight and sometimes unruly curls.

The Details:

The Take Command Curl Créme helps to define and moisturize your type 3 and 4 curls without shrinkage. You won’t have to worry about flaking with this product and your curls will be moisturized and shiny.

My Results:

Let’s start by saying that I’ve been on a quest to find something that would help stretch my curls,

leave them moisturized and make me feel comfortable enough to wear my little fro out in public. Needless to say I was quite skeptical that this product would do a single thing to help my tight curl plight.

After washing and conditioning my hair I applied a small amount throughout my hair and proceeded to section off my hair so that I could twist it. Keep in mind that I have type 4 tight curls and they absorb liquid very quickly thus they don’t stay loose very long. Once I applied the curl crème to my shrunken curls they almost instantly loosened up and shrinkage was a thing of the past. My hair stretched so much and my curls started to show their beautiful spiral potential. After twisting out my hair the following morning I was thrilled to see minimal shrinkage and moisturized, shiny curls. The Take Command Curl Créme is a product that I would recommend to anyone with tight curls and this product will be a definite staple in my hair routine.

I’m ready to take the leap of faith and start wearing my fro out in public on a regular basis thanks to this amazing product, I have an appointment to get my ends trimmed and some color so you’ll be seeing a new me very soon!
