Hello Healthy!! My Juice Detox Journey

I decided that this was the year that I was going to get in shape and forge a healthy lifestyle. In addition to getting to almost 200 pounds, I realized that I just wasn’t treating my body as the proverbial temple. Since my mom’s battle with breast cancer, she’s been really encouraging (in her own way lol) to consider the foods I eat and how they can help or hurt me in the long run.
Cutting out the liquor and processed/fatty/unhealthy foods

Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago when I happened upon the life-changing documentary “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” and the moment the credits rolled I knew this was something I wanted and needed to do and within a week I had a brand new juicer delivered and a refrigerator full of fresh fruits and vegetables. I won’t go into detail about the film but you can get more information at www.jointhereboot.com.
Ideally, 15 days would be great, but I’m learning that I’m not Superwoman so I’m committing to 5days and hoping I can make it to 15. Doing the Classic Reboot I’d juice for the 1st 5 days, juice and eat fresh fruits for another 5 and then do juicing only for the remaining 5. I’ve already planned out my drinks for the week and I’m looking forward to this detox help clear my mind as well as my body.

What this is NOT (for me)
A quick fix- If one more person tells me “You gotta be careful not to gain all the weight back” I’m going to SCREAM! Literally guys lol. Listen (not that I have to make explanations), THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME LOSING A QUICK 15pounds.

What this IS (for me)
This is about is a journey towards healthy habits and while weight will come off I’m more concerned with the nutritional benefits.

Once the Detox is complete I plan to do the following::
  • Eliminate Pork (Yes, I’m waving goodbye to the oink oink)
  • Drink fresh juices used during the Detox for one meal/snack a day
  • Continue High Impact Workouts
  • Think about my food choices
  • Incorporate more raw food and vegetables
  • Re-boot every 2-3 months
I’m anticipating the positive changes that my body will undergo in the next 5-15 days and I will be sharing with you all daily my experiences.
If you have ever done the juice detox or you’re considering it, I’d love to hear from you.

Hello healthy!
