I’ve been doing professional makeup for quite some time now and I was recently given the task of covering up a tattoo!! Of course I was booked well in advance and I knew from the time of booking I had to brush up on my skills so I wasn’t setting the bride up for a major wedding day mishap. After researching and asking some friends…my blogging buddy Shana Janelle suggested I use MehronTattoo Cover Ring.
I picked up the Tattoo Cover Ring this past May while I was in NYC for The Makeup Show and instantly started practicing on myself and friends. I think the end result was fantastic and the bride was well pleased.

The Pro’s::
- Affordable:: At just $14.95 you can’t beat the price especially when you consider the amount of coverage
- Multiple Colors:: I loved that it’s a color wheel that allows you to mix up a custom color
- Coverage: I tried some other products and by far Mehron provided the best coverage. This was especially important because my client has keloid skin and needed the extra coverage.
- Texture:: It’s a given that the product would have to be think/heavy in order to provide coverage BUT I did have to heat it up so that I could smooth the product over the skin
Overall this product great and is a definite staple in my kit when doing tattoo cover ups.

I was looking into a tattoo covering product, so I will be ordering this. However, the makeup looks a little lighter than the the brides skin. Is that due to the the flash from the camera?
Hey T. I suspect its the flash...also in the 1st it was a test run but in person you couldn't tell.

You're welcome!! While I like Dermablend, I like that the Cover Ring includes multiple colors for custom blending.
